I'll give it a shot and report back. It may be a little while as this pesky work-thing keeps rearing it's ugly head.

Progress!
After making the update per your suggestions, the new text box updates with the option group selections (I confirmed this by making the text box visible). However, the subform is not updating. In form view the txtImageID text box (which has the contol source PlayerID and drive the record selection for frmVisImage) shows "(AutoNumber)". The attached image shows how I changed the LinkMasterField. I do not know if what I did is appropriate.
Interestingly, when I go from design view to form view, a small box pops up with the caption "Enter Parameter Value" and the Me.txtPlayerID in the box and a blank data entry box. I have not tried to enter anything in that box. Rather, I simply cancel out of that window and go on to the form view.
I've spent sometime looking at this and I am kinda at a loss. Might there be a way to do this without a subform?
Remove the Me. preface to the ChildLinkFields property and see if it works. Hang in there. Once it works, you will like it.
YEAH! That worked! Thank you for your help and moreso for your patience. I will spend some time studying this isssue so I make sure I understand what you did and why it worked!
Am I asking too much if I ask for guidance on solving my final issue with this form? I would like to have the selection of the 10th case in the main form option group change the record source in a subform text box from pathHitCard to pathPitchCard. If you are willing, I will mess with it then get back with my results.
Again, thank you for your help. Gotta run for now - it's my birthday and I it is looking more and more like I'll be late to my own party. Tells you how my priorities align.
Happy B-Day and we'll work on the other issue later.
Believe it or not, I found a solution on my own. In the subform, I used the expression builder to make an IIF statement looking back at the main form option group. If the value of the option group is 10 (corresponding to selecting the pitcher), the control source is set to the field for the active record pitching card image path, otherwise, the control source is set to the field for the active record hitting card image path.
Might there have been a better way to solve this?
There is a lot to be said for "it works". I would leave it alone if it is doing as you desire. Are you ready to use the Thread Tools and mark this thread as Solved?
UBettCha!!! Can I use the link on one of your earlier posts on this thread?

Sure. It just gives you the directions. Okay, who is the really? Are you from Alaska per chance?
Not from Alaska. Grew up in Kansas and have been in Houston for nearly 14 years. Houston is a good place. Hot in the summer but tolerable in the winter. I really grew to hate the two and a half or three months of bitter cold on the plains. Any way, Houston is home now. By education, I am a geologist but I am spending more time doing other "stuff" as an executive for a small, privately held company.
Thanks so much for your guidance. I am certain I will be back as my baseball db evolves. My next project is to better understand relationships and use that to allow managers from multiple leagues to draft players from the same pool of players. Another day...
After I post this I will do the Solved thing.

There is an Ex-Governor from Alaska that uses UBettCha!!! regularly. That's what through me off.
So do many of my Canadian friends! I think that was the source of this useage. I had a meeting with a couple Canadians Friday PM. It was a positive meeting so many UBettChas were bandied about. No relation to the Govern-erella from Alaska.
Thanks again!
