    Question The Linked Table

    Hi All,

I have a table which is linked to an excel file. But with the linked tables there are few issues:
    1. The file should be available in the location, then only the table will open. It means that I will not able to use the daat which was loaded earlier in the table in this case. DATA LOST
Is there any way I can create a link table or any other option do the same so that I can still use the table when the source file is not available.

    Please guide.

    Regards
    Sudhir

    Hi,

you can import the table in stead of linking it. Of course, then all changes you make in your table won't be reflected in the original, so you'll have to write a routine using action queries or so to consolidate the data in both the file and your table on regular timings.
