Simple but breaking my mind! Remove title in sub form

    Hello!

What I'm trying to do is very basic, but ive been doing trial and error and I dont seem to be using the right terminology to find what I'm trying to do.

Bascially when you have a subform, I would like just the values to show up, without the first line that is the Caption.... so in the subform i want this:

    Dick Tracy
    John Smith
    James Bond

    instead of

    First Name Last Name
    Dick Tracy
    John Smith
    James Bond

    How do you do this?

    Many thanks in advance...

when you add controls with a wizard, it automatically adds labels, which you're referring to as "captions". select them and push deleted. I (think) you can delete them without the controls disappearing. the other way around of course, doesn't work. both disappear

did a quick look on the properties and didnt see anything that would remove field names. What you CAN do though is create a label with a background color the same as your form background then place it over the subform, covering your field names. It's a really McGuyver-ish way of doing it but it might be a quick and dirty fix.

Adam, I tried that myself. Didn't work. the field names still show up on the subform.

I have no idea what you're talking about Shabz. I think I completely misunderstood this thread. I must be way off.

    I'm gonna unsubscribe now...

Great idea... if data is locked, no one will notice.. perfect crime
