Code to display latest record number field created?

I need some code to display only the latest "Record number" field from a particular table in a text box, e.g. doCmd...take latest data from a field in table....show in a text box....

You haven't said what you have tried already and the results you obtained.

Suggest you work with the Form wizard just to create a form with a text box.
And do some test querying to find record numbers, working to get a query that will show the latest (does that mean the highest) record number?
