    Default date value

I am trying to get a default value for the current 2 digit year (like 11). I have entered Year(Date()) as the default and it returns: 7/3/1905

    Why is that?

    Thanks

Check the formatting; I think you're getting the correct value, but it's being formatted as a date.

No problem Wayne. Access determines dates by counting the number of days since a given date, I think 1/1/1900. That makes 2011 your date in 1905 if date formatting is applied to it.
