    Junction Table

Question: Do I need one or two junction tables to link two client tables to a Contract table? I have two client tables, one for individuals and one for businesses. One contract can have one or more individuals as the parties or it can an individual and a business as the parties. Individuals and businesses can have more than one contract. What is the best way to set the relationship up? Appreciate any help/comments.

have 1 junction table; with a ContractID field, and a PartyID field

a contract with multiple parties will have multiple records.

Either an IndividualID or a BusinessID can go into the PartyID field as appropriate.

    hope this helps
