    Different passwords on front-end & back-end?

    Hello,

I wish to create a database with 3 different front-ends, each with different password permissions. However it seems that if I change the password of the front-end DB, or encrypt the back-end separately, the databases no longer synchronize correctly.

Is the issue caused because I created multiple front-end DBs by copying the front-end file (within windows explorer)? How can I give individual password protection to multiple front ends?

Not sure what you are doing but you will need the password table in the FrontEnd instead of the BackEnd.

I need a password on the back end file as well. Is it not possible to password protect the backend?

I would think that would be a table in the BackEnd but you would apply that by opening the backEnd on its own.
