Unhappy Group by the Emails ISP or Domain Name

I have a report to create a work, my file is very large, and information in it has our customer's email address.

I need to create a report to show how many emails we send to each ISP
for example if i have myname@aol.com and hername@msn.com and hisname@msn.com, i need to just see how many went to aol.com, msn.com and so forth.
(i.e. aol.com (one 1 record) msn.com (2 records)) Can we seperate the email to where access reads the ISP of the email, and how would i write the query?

You can use InStr() to find the position of the @, along with the Mid() function. That should give you the ISP. Grouping on that should allow you to count the records.

how do you do that and have it place each break up in a different field For instance:
    Email@msn.com

In a query, you'd use an aliased field. In design view:

    DomainOnly: Mid(...)

    In SQL view:

    Mid(...) AS DomainOnly

Yes I created a Domain Field already for it to place it there...

You respond very quickly. I appreciate it...
You are very helpful....Would you mind if come to you for more helpful information.

I'm sorry if I bother you much, I just came out of school, and my first job working in this field, it seems that all the stuff the job wants you to, school only teaches you BASIC queries ones you can find on the HELP Wizard...You never know how detail you can get once you start working in the field.

You just happened to catch me online. I'm about to dive into a project, so I won't be as quick later. If you have another question, your best bet would be to start another thread. Somebody is usually around that can help, but I will certainly jump in if I see it any nobody has answered. Good luck in the new job!
