    Search on a disabled field

Is there a way to search on a field that is disabled on a form?

    Regards,
    Bill

The control is "disabled" from the user but not the programmer.

Thanks for your reply. I do not want the end user to modify the control, but have the ability to search on it. Is there a way to do that?

Did you temporarily create the new ComboBox and look at the code created?

I do not really understand what you want to accomplish. Can't modify a control but search on it?

The control is a client number. Example 2011-01 being the first client of this year. I do not want the end user tinkering with the nubers as they are auto generated by code. However, I would like them to be able to search for a specific client, example 2009-36.

    Bill

Then leave that control alone and add an additional ComboBox with the cbo wizard and select Option #3.
