    Access 2010 Web

    Hi Everyone,

I wish to explore the new web capabilities of Access 2010.

I have search almost everywhere but cannot get the answers, appreciate guidance from you.

    1. I understand that Microsoft may be providing hosting services, can someone provide me the URL so I can register / sign-up.
    2. After publishing to Sharepoint with Access Services, how do I set to make it public ie. anyone can use a browser to view without the need to login.
Thanks for the help I will be getting.

I do not know the MS site offhand; but do use a commercial alternative:
    www.AccessHosting.com

General web form visibility is more an issue of being served by a server located in the public domain - unless your question is more specific to sharepoint parameters, in which case I am not sure... but I do recommend that you get an Access2010 textbook available at Amazon or any large book store which will cover web forms design and sharepoint loading.

    Thanks for your reply.

I did get a very good book (Access 2010 Inside Out). I was not able to find the answers to my questions. In the book there was a mention that Microsoft provide hosting but I have search the Internet over again but cannot reach them.

I know of the commercial site Accesshosting but I also want to know if there are alternative sites esp. from Microsoft (in case I need to change hosting provider for what ever reasons to ensure continuity). Another reason is the hope for cheaper monthly fees.

I just cannot understand why Microsoft is pushing Access 2010 without providing hosting facilities, it is as if they are not capable of managing it or uncertain of Access 2010 future in the web and afraid to take investment risk in this area.

    Thanks
