    About Pie Charts in Access

Hey there everyone; while I have been working with access,I realized I couldn't work with charts.I have been struggling a lot this so let me tell you what steps I have taken to create a chart.ISt know I am doing something wrong I can't seem to understand what though.
Step 1:I made a simple table with the info I wanted to gather.
Step 2:I go to report design and press add chart.
Step 3:It asks me to choose a query or a table;so I choose the table I made the report with.

Step 4:I choose pie chart as the wanted graph design.
Step 5:This is where I might be doing something wrong.I drag one of the fields to the data tab below and another one on the series tab.
Step 6:I pass on this part because;it tells me I can only choose 3 data types but I have 5 data tabs I want to be changing.
After this I press okay and what I get is only one segment of the pie.Which makes it look like a complete blue pie.My data is pretty simple to work with and I would appreciate any help I can get.

Side Note: I also tried making other type of charts but it I only get one type of data.Thank you in advance,

try having your data vertical rather than horizontal

A pie chart is designed to show the number of each item in a specified field.
For example the number of apples, oranges etc in a field called fruit.

So it won't work for different fields

databases store data vertically. I don't have 2016 and the option isn't available in 2010 (only the graph control) so can't test it, but I believe that part of the graph creation process will pivot the data for you
