Well, a Macbook Pro is a nice laptop but a bit expensive compared to DELL that I've been using now. Its actually a trusted brand based on design, support and performance.

Mac is best option. Check this one https://www.apple.com/in/macbook/specs/Hey guys -
I recently started freelancing my database skills and am in extreme need of a new computer. My personal computer is a Mac...The only PC I own is an older PC that my company has loaned me and, since this is an individual endeavor, I do not want to be using a company owned computer!
I am not much of a hardware person and am not sure what I should be looking for. It would be a computer that is strickly dedicated to Access database, VBA programming, and probably some large excel files and macro creation.
My only stipulation is that I do NOT want a Win8 computer. I have been looking on amazon, but I really have no idea what to do when it comes to hardware... Any ideas?
Thanks!!
Yup, my sister-in-law has a MacBook Pro. That's also good. By the way, i forgot to mention that aside from Sony Vaio laptop that I'm using, a Dell brand can be also recommended. My husband prefers it very much.
I went back to this thread. It is time for me to get a new laptop. Can we make this thread active?
You just did.
Also, since you are not the OP, you should start your own thread and reference this thread.
You will get more reads (hits) than a thread that is old and not your thread.... I'm just sayin....
Buy the best that will fit your budget.
I use Mac, both desktop and laptop. Never had a prob yet.
Try Dell or MacBook Pro.
Put together a pc that suits you great last week.
