    Managing data with android

I am trying to build a "home-made CRM" using tables stored in Google Drive. i work in a lab and we get a lot of data from outside when sampling. Data is hand-written in printed forms made with access and then, back to the lab, transcribed to the access db.

The idea is to collect these data directly into excel or similar tables, stored in Google drive, and then to import the tables to my database.

I'm already able to do that. But...

I need a proper interface for my android tablet. Do you know how could I make this interface ? Is it possible to program an access based interface and to open it in android?

Any other ideas/strategies for what I want to achieve?

Thanks, june7, but my database is not in a server. The tables are supposed to be exported to the cloud (Google drive).

    i mean the blank tables.

Well, I guess that is further complication. The referenced link is best I could find in quick search.

Android programming and 'cloud' database are both beyond my experience.

What Android tablet? Maybe get a Windows tablet (Surface?).

I think I am going to try to use another excel file as front-end. What do you think?

I'm not sure if the excel app in android will support all controls though.

Excel is still a Windows app. I have no idea how to use on Android device. Maybe question better asked in an Android forum.

For anyone out there looking for the same task, I finally did it with a tool called "AppSheet". Very simple and useful.

Now I need to deal with data export/import with my Access database. Just timing I believe...

    thx

I needed a way to enter data to tables using a tablet over a wifi connection so I wouldn't be bound to my desk. I need to roam around our building trying to track inventory that is stored all over the place. I am still evaluating at this point but I will probably purchase a personal license of Cellica Database Wifi version. Not sure if this will help you for your issue but so far it seems to work pretty good.
