Identifying Changed Fields in Two Tables

    Hi there,

I would like to create a query which returns changes to any field in two identically structured tables ( Old_Tbl and New_Tbl ). The tables have the following fields:

    AccountID
    Name
    Status
    Owner

AccountID is the unique identifier for each record, common to both tables.

There are about 2000 records in each table, which is constantly being added to and amended.

I am fairly new to Access (use wizards to build reports, queries, etc) and have seen lots on Union queries but have not been able to get anything to work.

    Could anybody help?

    Many thanks

Think this site will help you:

    (Google is a friend)

In order to do this, you will as described in that article, VBA.
However from what i saw when googling, its a common enough request to find information on it.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
