Exclamation Access copy/paste error in Shared mode

    Hi all,

Presently i'm using access 2003. i've created a DB with multiple form and tables and split the DB into front-end and back-end.i've copied the front-end for individual users in seperate folder which are created in the shared drive and placed the back-end in the shared drive.

main problem comes here is people can enter the data into the form and save the records into the tables but when they are copy pasting the data from excel or anywhere only one user able to copy/paste the data and the rest are unable to do it.so they have no choice to except to type manually.

can anybody help me on this issue for copy/paste.

    thanks.

What happens? Does it error? Are you using a shared copy of Excel as well?

I'd like to know too Allen. Also, shouldn't you have record locks on those forms so you can minimize write conflicts or data entry?

I don't know, but I would assume the risk is there with c/p operations as well.

    Thumbs up

yes. The Excel which we are using is shared over the network. does it make any difference. We are using citrix environment.
At last we figured it out what was the problem. Because of we are using Citrix, the services which are used by the Copy/Paste operations are not running for all the users thats the reason we are facing this issue.

    Thanks guys for reply.

Even though Citrix lets you, you may wish to review the license agreement for each of those products. You may be in violation of the ULA for the products.

No.I'm not in ULA violation. Because of some citrix issues the user unable to copy from one application to other. our IT team is working on it.

    thanks.
