    Access97 conversion to Access2010

When I converted an Access97 application to Access2007, there was a missing reference "Utility". I unchecked it and it seems to work well except the radio buttons. I have the IT to upgrade to Office2010 and I then converted the same application (which is in 2007) to Access2010. Now there is no missing reference, but it ceased to work. When I complied, it stucks on Date. I have tried all methods, such as linking to "Utility.ACCDA" and still wouldn't work. What am I missing? Is there anything wrong with upgrading from 2007 to 2010?

IMO, yes there is. 2010 is not a bug-free program yet. Others don't seem to have problems, but I personally have plenty with it.

I don't have much knowledge about the utility project that sometimes shows up in the vbe, but I believe it's one of the executables that are located in the ACZTOOLS directory that extracts from the installation cd. you might try googling the name and reading up on it.

I think too, that any conversion from 97 to 10 is bound to have problems, simply due to the large timeframe between the two releases.

from a risk of corruption standpoint, yes, absolutely. from a data and feature compatibility standpoint, I would say it really doesn't matter. not much changed between 07 and 10 in terms of deprecation and new features. there's a lot of "new look" concepts, but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to functionality.
