    OpeningFormToExistingRecord

    Hello,

I have Access 2007 w/Windows Vista. I have a database set-up and ready to go with one problem. When I open my form it opens to a blank or new record. I want it to open to an exisiting record instead. I have tried setting the macro to to the form to open first record, last record, etc. but no success. I have also set up command buttons, but no different. The only way I can get my current records to show is by selecting the sort button on the toolbar. Then my command buttons work, but this limits me to hiding my toolbar and also decreases user friendliness for other people. Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated.

It sounds like you are opening your form in Add mode. If you are using a Switchboard to open the form, check to make sure you have it set to "Open form in edit Mode", not "...add mode".
