    Question AAArrrggghhh!

I updated Access to 2010 on my computer. I messed with some security settings so there was a user name and password to open a database I have been working on. Turns out it was a username and password to open any Access DB. How can I clear it so that I can just open DB's without putting in my username and PW all the time?

I opened in exclusive mode to check to see if there had been a DB password created but there has not been.

Did you create a new work group file when applying the security to your database?

If yes, then you can use the work group manager toi rejoin the default system.mdw file.

    This might help:
    Microsoft Access User-Level Security

NOTE: User Level Security (ULS) has been depreciated and is no longer supported in the newer ACE (2007/2010 .accdb) database formats.
