    Question Programming Language like Access

Can anyone suggest a database programming language like MS Access with Gui interface that will compile to a stand alone exe and doesn't require the ownership of other software like MS Access.

Any thought s will be appreciated

    MDE File

Are you aware that you can create a stand alone file from within Access?

Look under Tools/Database Utilities/Make MDE file. This will compile your database and create a file with an *.MDE extention that may be executed without Access installed.

I have not used this - but I suggest you backup your database first!

    Red face

I believe that you will find that an MDE file requires runtime copy or a full copy of MS Access to execute. Even then it isn’t totally secure. You can take a blank mdb file and import tables and queries form an mde file? That is why I am looking for something a little more secure.
