    @Micron. Yes, Access was telling me all the time the problem was the circular reference - I just didn't understand it. I just had to change the report control's name from fldSection to txtSection and the problem was resolved.

    You should adopt a naming convention that prevents that problem. I never name a control the same as the field it's bound to. If I use form wizard, first thing I do is change all the control names, prefixing with 3 letters that id the control type; txt lst, cmb, cmd, sfc, tab, etc. Others may do similar but use different prefixes.
