    I having trouble totaling a column of 10 parts line if I leave a field empty then it won,t total but if put
    at least 0.00 in the empty space then it dose, so I would like to not to but 0,s in empty spaces.

    could you so me a expression that would fix this.

    what i have know is field+field1+field2 and so on.

    thank, gk1941train

    You have 10 fields for the same kind of data? That is not a normalized data structure.

    Use Nz() function.

    =Nz(field,0)+Nz(field1,0)+Nz(field2,0)

    How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
