    Query not running

    I have a database that has been working as designed for 3 years with multiple, queries, reports and forms. This morning any query that gets it's value from a field on a form is not running. The source form(DataEntry) is open and all the spelling is correct in the query. There is only 1 other criteria in the query and it is shown. See the error and design of the query on the attachment. The only thing odd that went on yesterday was I imported a table, form and query from another database. I did not get the result I needed so I deleted them. I've run compact and repair with no result. Any help would be appreciated.

    Things I would try is remove that criteria, run query and add it back in and run query.
    Create a new form with just one control and refer to that to see if form is corrupted in some way?

    FWIW Like without any * is just an = ?

    I am assuming there is a value in that control?

    JonathanT,

    I agree with Paul--
    take out the criteria;
    make sure the table has values;
    add some criteria and verify the result;
    identify a few records that "should" meet your original criteria;
    ensure required fields have values (no null or empty)

    This is bizarre! I had tried your suggestions before posting my question except for creating a new form and control. Before I got to that I noticed that when opening the source form I was getting the “Enter Parameter Value” error for 8 combo boxes on the form that I had to ‘tab’ through before the form would open. I started to add a test combobox to the form but I removed it before completing the set-up. I closed the source form and opened it up again and since that time all queries and forms are working just as previously designed!!! Strange!!
    I’ve tried running multiple queries and reports and they all work as before. I am not going to mark this as solved since I have no idea what caused the issue in the first place and what caused the issue to go away.
