i current have a problem with one of my client database. Our software is written by VBA (Access 2007). there are two parts of them: 1: front end application 2: back end client database. now our client has 5 computers by using 5 of the front end applications, and these 5 applications link to one single back end client database. They are connected by using wireless i believe. The problem is, from what ever they did, the back end database was keep losing primary keep from tables.
For example, the "Batch" table suppose to have the batch number as the primary key, and every batch should be identical. now, for what ever reason, when one people create a batch for account payable, the other people can create the same batch number for account receivable.
We have done something on ourside: 1: re-install all the applications on their computers 2: I manually repair the back-end dababase, delete all the bad records, re-assign the primary keys and rebuild the relationships. After all, the problem still the same, primary key keep losing. So for your experience, is there anyway that the hardware or network could causing such problem? BTW, we have more than 100 clients and this one is the only one has such problem.
