    SHELL Command Stopped Working

I use the SHELL command to call a .cmd file to execute some Windows instructions outside of Access. This has been working for years. Now it is failing with a code that indicates Access no longer has permission to do this. Is there a setting in Access or Windows where I can restore this capability? Thanks, Eddie

Try running the Access app as Administrator and see if that works.

I don't have the authority to "Run as Administrator" and never have had this authority. Neither have any of the 30 Operators. Yet, it has been working for about 10 years... until recently... about 4-6 weeks ago. We're all running 64-bit Windows 10 Enterprise. Any recent Windows updates which could have affected this?

No idea. There have been several updates both Office and Windows that have stopped things working, that have worked for years, so check the Windows Update logs.

Did something happen to Trusted Location settings - new pc, Office update, new Windows version? New bitness from before (i.e. you moved from 32 to 64)? Not sure if that's pertinent or not, just suggesting recent change(s) might be the culprit. Maybe IT rolled modified a policy so that such scripts are now blocked.
See if you can run the cmd or bat file manually. If not possible, seems like a policy change.
