Bar at the bottom of a query.

Can the bar at the bottom of any query be set to stay at a certain hight?

Do you mean in Datasheet view? Is database set for Overlapping Windows?

No, in Design view. Sorry I don't know about setting database for overlapping Windows. As you know we open queries thousands of times and most of the time I have to move that bar out of the way, it doesn't stay where it was when it was saved.

I don't use Tabbed Documents. I always set for Overlapping Windows in Database Options. I am not sure what you mean by 'bar' and moving.

A query in design mode, the "bar" at the bottom. The Bar can be dragged up and down. With me it saves at one height one time, and a different height another time. Most of the time it is in my way. It would be nice to learn if it can be set at a fixed height that suits me.

If you position the bar where you want it for a query then Save while still in Design, next time you open that query in Design, bar should be in same position. Although, if db is set for OverlappingWindows, the bar's position can be influenced by resizing query window in Datasheet. In either mode, resizing the Access app window can cause the bar's position to appear to change although it hasn't really.
