Going back to the original post, not clear what

means - are you linked to sql server, receiving a download as a .csv? or something else

If you are linked then updating the ODBC driver might solve the problem - see this link as an example
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Fo...databasedesign

otherwise google something like 'datetime2 in Access'

Edit: if you want the science behind how datetime and datetime2 vary in how they are determined
    https://towardsdatascience.com/datet...t-70e50ae2bab9

SO might be possible to work it backwards, but I don't have the time right now
So I tried a couple of the different built in drivers but I only see the tables I need when I use "SQL Server Native Client 11.0" (note the others I tried were 10.0 and "ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server")

I am linking the tables through the "new data source > From database > From SQL Server" and then I choose "Link to the data source by creating a linked table" because that way the information will stay up to date. Although I will need to change this later as I will need a way that does not prompt the user for a password everytime the program opens. Something more behind the scenes but I don't know what yet.

You will definitely need to use a more up to date driver than version 11 to get datetime2 fields to work with Access.

I would go straight for the latest version 18 from here : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sq...l-server-ver16
Then see what type of results you get.
    DLookup Syntax and others http://access.mvps.org/access/general/gen0018.htm
