Preselection of a field the report should be ordered by.

I am trying to learn of a way to preselect (from the form) the field the order the same report should be printed.
Mostly By Number or Name(Alphabetical), but other criteria as well.

I can set up multiple different reports linked to different buttons.
I put in a little effort, without success yet. My guess is, there is always a way.

    maybe this?

Various ways to apply sort order - refer to form values from report code (as long as form is open) or pass sort order info to report OpenArgs.
Form could use option group bound to a frame (would allow only 1 sort order) or unbound option buttons or check boxes for multiple field values to sort by. Could do same for sorting ascending vs descending.
