    access pricing

    hi all
    if i have a product liat file in excell with fields
    barxode . product name . price
    can i make a small access for which allow me to scan barcode and it will automatically search inaide excel file to get me product name and price . if yes i qish aome body can help mw withe a sample plz

    You can with a lot of code. Why not import the Excel data into Access? Or at least link to worksheet?

    Google on how to scan a barcode and use the result.
    Connecting to the Excel file is the easy part.

    using a barcode scanner should be the same as typing the value - depending on the scanner you may need to change some settings to ensure the scan ends with a carriage return to complete the entry.

    So user clicks on a cell in excel and scans the barcode and in another cell you use the vlookup function (google it if you don't know it) to look up the price in your item
