Report footer totals breaking query sort order

    Hi Guys,

I have an invoice report that I need the line items to list in a specific order, which I have created in the query for the report.

As part of the report, the line items are totalised
    Code:
    =SUM(lineitems)
in hidden field in the footer of the line items report and having these totals, the sorting I have placed in the query is ignored?

Can anyone advise if they have found this and how I can resolve this.

    Thanks in advance

Sorting in a query source is ALWAYS ignored by reports.

Reports have their own sorting, along with the grouping.

Thanks for that, I was not aware of that. I have other reports, pick list, that does not have any fields in the footer, and they display as the query. I Will take a look and see how I can modify the sorting via the footer/detail.
