    Avoid re-creating link tables

I have a SQL computer with SQL database and use the Linked Table Manager to link SQL tables into the Access database.
It works fine. But when I copy this accdb file to another computer (on the same network & can ping the SQL computer), it fails to run.
I need to remove all the linked tables and re-create them again, then it works.
How to just copy the accdb from the SQL computer to any networked computer, then it works?

Link using UNC path and not mapped drive.

    don't understand.
I don't use any mapped drive.
I use the Linked Table Manager to link SQL tables into Access.

It should just work - suggest check both machines are using the latest odbc driver.

Otherwise you need to be clearer about ' it fails to run' actually means - app doesn't open? you get an error? something else?

I assume you connect to the backend using SQL Server authentication (using SQL user\password) vs. Windows authentication. What happens if you try to open the table directly in the navigation pane by double clicking on it?
If you are using a machine DSN on the first computer to link the tables you would end up with your issue, look into changing to DSN-less connection:
