TO-DO Template data-base help

Hello Together,

this is my first post so I hope everything would be OK:

I've downloaded free template from Access site.

I would like to set "Task-list" with fixed tasks which are already pre-assigned to some people. So when someone is adding the new project - the task list is already there, some small adjustment will be done regarding resource assigning but there is no need to write new tasks all over again every time when someones wants to add new project.



Right now I cannot add the tasks manually because I get the message "enter fix values with the field tasks.project". How can I get over it?

The error notification is because you're trying to assign tasks, but there is no project to assign the tasks to. Back on the Project List form, create the project, then assign tasks to it.
As far as pre-fixed tasks, how would you know how to code in the tasks before the project is conceived? Do you have a set of projects that are done over and over, with a fixed set of tasks?

I can see your thinking when you ran into the error. You want to create free standing tasks that can later be assigned to projects. That's a complete revision of the current parent/child design.
