    Question Not Enough Free Memory

Our office recently converted from Office 16 to Office 360. The databases converted okay with some minor issues. However, on some forms I'm getting an error, "There isn't enough free memory to update the display. Close unneeded programs and try again." I didn't have any problems with Office 16 (nothing changed with the new Office). What could be causing this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

open task manager (ctrl-alt-delete on the desktop) and click on the performance tab. There will be a 'baseline' for windows and apps running in the background. Looking at both CPU and memory, open and close different apps to find the one(s) that hog the memory. Large excel files are a good example.

1 big cause of this is a form(s) with many subtables open. People will use tab controls and put a subform in each tab. This will drain memory.
Use only 1 subform and swap out the source query for each tab.

Thanks. This doesn't appear to be the issue. Not seeing any CPU and memory issues

Search on the error message and follow some of the links. You should be able to find more than one accepted solution, so it would seem that there might be multiple causes. I'd investigate some of the simpler suggestions first to see if any of those help.
