Stop movement to new record when using tab or arrow in form?

Pressing the tab or arrow key moves through the textboxes on a form, but when it cycles again through the ID field (auto number or other) I don't want it going to the next record.

Is this a property somewhere or does it require code to just keep backing up one, and if so where does one put it?

Thanks, however I'm curious, do you know why when tab/RightArrow cycles, it skips the ID field with tab, but doesn't with shift+tab.
What does the form think is special about the ID field/Textbox to not show it when just tabbing?

doesn't for me. You can drop a control out of tabbing by setting its Tab Stop property to No, but that works whichever direction the tabbing is going. Presume nothing to do with the tab order?
