Bug related to plain vs rich text boxes

I was having an issue that was driving me crazy and finally determined if it’s related to whether the text box format is plain text or rich text…

In short, I had form A, with a standard text box, and if you double click on that text box, it would take you to form B, which had an older MS Forms text box.

The way the code is supposed to work, there should be text highlighted in the form B text box.

This functionality works fine if the form A text box is formatted as plain text, but if the form A text box is rich text, the form B text box won’t have the proper focus, and doesn’t show the highlight, unless you click on the form B title bar to bring it to focus.

I put together a simple example file to show the issue.

interesting observation - I tried it with a standard textbox on frmPopup and same effect.

No idea why, but solvable by making the form modal as well.
