    I understand that point. I went into Word and disabled the OVR function in the Options-Advanced Menu, but that had no affect with the Textbox Control in the Form in Access. That's what I am not understanding, how would changes in Word effect Access?

    the easiest solution would be to somehow when this program is running the INS Key is totally disabled

    Have you ever tried to use separate textboxes for user input and actual value?
    Take a look in attachment for an example.
