    In a field on a Form, on click open another form

    I dont know much about microsoft access

    I created a form. In that form, I have a field that is looking up another field/s on another form. Once found/selected I would like it to open up another form with the selected file by double-clicking on the field.



    Please help....I need a step by step instructions

    Personally, I would use a command button and take advantage of the command button wizard. You can select which form you want to open and select which field to base the new form on.

    If you still wish to open the new form by double clicking on the field, I would copy and paste the code generated from the command button to the double click event for that field.
