    Variable Length Fields Displayed Sequentially

    Hi All,

I have a simple Access report that is connected to an Access table that has only 1 field - a variable length short text field.

Instead of having the report display like:

    Fieldabcdefgh1
    Fieldabc1
    Fieldfdsgdsdfdsfds1

I would like it to display like this:

    Fieldabcdefgh1 Fieldabc1 Fieldfdsgdsdfdsfds1

(and when it exceeds the first line, to then continue to the second line).

Assistance or a pointer to another thread will be greatly appreciated. My attempts so far have either truncated the fields or left gaps between the fields (as the fields are variable length).

Another option might be "Concatenate values from related records", a function by Allen Browne

If you want values separated by only a single space, I expect only recourse is the VBA approach. However, possibly limited to a string of 65,535 characters because that's what a textbox can hold.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
