    MS Access Zoom option broken?

    Hi,
I have just gotten a Windows 11 laptop. (first time with Windows 11) Now I'm back working in my Microsoft 365 Access db but the Zoom dialog box is blank when I open it, even when I have an expression in the field. This is an option I use constantly when I'm working with queries and I'm finding this very frustrating. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there something I have to turn on now, to make it work again?

Edit: sorry, I hadn't updated my Profile to Windows 11(don't see that option) and Access 365

Does it work properly using Shift+F2 to open the zoom box?

    Re Profile.
You click My profile, then About Me, then the edit icon for the relevant option.
However there is no Windows 11 option yet

Thanks for the reply. When I use Shift+F2 (with my cursor is in the field) I get a volume control. My new computer is a Surface Laptop 4 and F2 has a volume control.
When I use Alt+F2 (with my cursor in the field), the expression text gets selected but no Zoom box.
My workaround to-date has been to copy my expressions to NotePad, edit them there and copy them back to my query field. Needless to say that is a nuisance.

Thanks for the Profile instructions. After I made my post, I saw I was out of date, so went to my Profile and updated but it didn't change my information for my post. I assume that's because I posted before I changed it.

Hmm. If you don't need the volume control shortcut, perhaps you can disable it. Otherwise all I can suggest is that you create your own custom zoom box form which would open automatically when you click in the textbox

On some laptops the function keys are dual purpose. Without pressing the FN key as well, you get a system based result (volume, screen or key backlight brightness, etc.). You use the function key (FN on my laptop) with the F1, F2, etc. key to get what the old function key setup provided. However, that does not explain why your zoom box opened blank when using one version of Windows over another.
