Row wise sumif in access database

    Dear Friends,

I have an Access Table Named as “Transaction History” which contains 18 different column with data in it…

    1st Column Named as “Product”

    11th Column Named as “Qty”

I would like to have running total against each Row… nothing but SUMUP Qty (until each Row) in a 19th Column Named as “Net Inventory” against the criteria of Row wise Product Match…

    Thanks & Regards,
    Rajeshkumar R

You'd do this sort of thing in a report but NEVER in a table - that is, you should not store calculation results in a table. However, your post does not say where you want to do this calculation or what you want to do with it.

    Dear Micron,

    Thanks for your quick response!

The Table is getting appended with data on hourly basis which is nothing but product receipts & issuance history...

So against each Row (Receipts or Issuance Transaction), product wise what is the inventory left, which I would like to view them in the same table on Column 19 (As Calculated Filed)

    Thanks & Regards,
    Rajeshkumar R

Well, my point is, you should not. Perhaps read to see if you still wish to follow that path
