    Issue with date mask

    Hi,

    Newbie here,

When designing a table where one of the fields required a date I picked date/time and in the field properties input mask picked "short date". Its placeholders appear 0000-00-00;0;_. I built a Form for this table and selected this date field to appear in the Form. When I use the Form to enter a date in this field the mask appears as _ _:_ _:_ _ As you can see they look nothing like each other. What am I doing wrong??

looks like for the control the mask is a time mask, not a date mask.

However what you are doing wrong is applying a mask in the table - you should only do this on a form. Same goes for formatting. Don't do anything in a table which can hide the actual underlying value
