Combo Box Limit? / Combo Box Not Accepting Full Pasted List

I paste list of countries into the row source/edit list items field to create the list. It cuts off always. Not sure why...is there a character limit or number of list item limit? Have checked numerous postings but have not found one that addresses this.

I believe there's a limit though I can't find it right off. Most of us would use a table to store all the values, and use Table/Query instead of Value List.

there is a character limit of 2048 for the rowsource in combo's and listboxes. here is a link asking much the same question

    https://www.access-programmers.co.uk...-length.50029/

better to paste your data to a table and use that as your rowsource

No, not from table. Normally wizard kicks in for creating the combo box but on my system there is something messed up and I get this error so I had to do work around. So, I followed guidance to create the combo box by cancelling out of wizard and then just going to row source type to set at "value list" so I enter myself and then copy and paste country list from internet into the row source field/edit list items field...

But why - Countries hardly ever change so why not plonk them in a table and use that.

Your value list will need repeating everywhere you need to look up the county.
If a country does change or need adding you will have to go and manually edit all your lists, rather than make a simple edit in one table.
