    Access to SQL

Hi guys, I am new here. Greetings. Can I get a shove in the right direction please on an issue. Its more an admin issue. We have an Access Db which the old IT guy moved to SQL. On the users PCs I can see a DSN. We have a new Server. I have moved the database to the new server, changed the DSNs and can connect through the DSN and run a query however every time I launch the Access Db shortcut it recreates a new DSN to the old Server. I do not know how he is forcing the app to use the old server. Any ideas would be super please.

    Thanks

He may have DSNLess code running. Check in the open/load events of whatever form opens first. An autoexec macro may also be calling a function.

If you have access to .accdb version, review the macro and codes section. Like pbaldy said, check auto exec macro. If it’s not there, review the Visual Basic codes.

I have sample codes to create DSN so you get a sense of what codes to look for. Let me know if this is still an issue.
