Angry Database Crashes in Design View for Tables

This may be a long shot, but is there any workaround to the issue where Access crashes if you try to open a table in design view when you are in a Numeric field?

I have tested this in completely blank databases and I can easily reproduce this bug in any table.

Long story short, if my first field in a given table is numeric and I try to open the table in design view, the database crashes. If the first field is a string, I can open the table in design view and make changes, but if I click on any numeric field while in design view, the database instantly crashes.

From what I found online, this has been an issue since the 2016 version was released, which is the version I use. Does not seem like it was ever corrected by Microsoft, at least in this version, and it has to do with your field size or something.

Just wanted to know if anyone has found a way around this and if there is any way I can change the properties of a numeric field in design view.

I've never heard of this. I'm sure we would have done if it was a common problem.
Do you have a link to the other reports of it?

What is the field name out of interest?
Can you create a small sample and upload here?

I'm afraid I'm using O365 and can't replicate the problem.
Have you tried an office repair?

Do you have Name Autocorrect switched on in the general database options?

I tried too and no issues either opening to design view when number field is active, or if already in design view.
I could be wrong, but 365 is just the Office subscription version. You can have any Access version from 2016 and after in 365. I'm using 2016 and 365.

I'm also unable to replicate this issue in either A365 or A2010.

NOTE: It is possible to modify table design using VBA code if you cannot solve the problem with an Office repair or update
