Unable to create an sql backend for access database

I have a database which I will like to create an sql backend for it.

I have installed sql server 2014 successfully.
I have also successfully installed Sql management studio 2012.

My issue is am unable to link the database for access to use the sql server as the backend.

I saw an sql migration software for access online which I tried. But when it gets to the point where it will have to connect to the sql server, it isn’t able to connect.

I can’t tell what went wrong.

Any help with this will greatly be appreciated

Attachment fields aren't supported in SQL Server, or any other larger RDBMS I'm afraid.
That's why experienced developers avoid their use.

    Noted.

How about the macros that run on startup
    They no longer run.
    How do I fix it?

I don't use macros but believe the FE still needs to be in a trusted location for them to run

How do you know they don't run? perhaps they are but not doing what you expect?

I don't use macros...... In a COPY of your dB, I would convert all macros to VBA code. There is a menu option for doing this.

    And check for missing references.
    Do a "Compact and Repair".

Maybe post a copy of your dB for analysis???

I think I will stick to the default access database space. I tried with over 100,000 entries and the space taken was only 17mb. So if going to take so so many years before it will reaching the said limit.

Thank you all for your time.

SharePoint (backend tables) is the solution if looking to have many users interact outside of the backend LAN.
