Upgrade from Access 2010 to Access 2019 and convert to 64 bit

We have 25 PCs (all 64 bit processors, Windows 10 Pro) with Office 2010 32 bit installed. We have 5 front end databases that are all accdb, but some back ends are accdb and some are mdb created with Access 2000. I would like to upgrade all PCs to Office 2019 64 bit. Can I convert my existing front and back ends to work with 64 bit Access? Also, during the switch over to Office 2019 will the users that have not been upgraded still be able to use their 32 bit version to work with the data in the back ends?

If this were a poll my vote would be to install 32 bit Office only. Unless you're using extremely large numbers in Access (bigInt) there is no benefit IMO. However, there will be some hassles over API functions needing to be converted if using any of them. There's even one API that won't work in 64 bit at all (can't recall what it's for). IIRC, compiled db's must be run on the bitness they were created in, which would mean having a version for each until there are no more 32 bit Office machines in use. That's just more to maintain. Some day we might not have any choice, such as when/if M$ drops support for 32 bit Office.

All my applications are now created to be 32/64-bit compatible as my clients use a mixture of Office versions and bitnesses. I made the change back in 2014

However, I agree with Micron's comment that there is no real advantage to using 64-bit ...other than large address awareness....and that is coming to 32-bit Access 365 very soon.
For info, 32-bit Access 2019 also supports bigint though its highly unlikely you will ever need it.

I would do all the conversions from MDB to ACCDB anyway.

If you don't use APIs, it is likely that the FE apps will then work unchanged.
Converting APIs to work in 64-bit is usually not that difficult. There is lots of guidance online...not all equally good! For info, APIs adapted for 64-bit will also continue to work in 32-bit Access versions from A2010 onwards (VBA7).
However ACCDEs will inly work in the bitness they were created in. If all users have the same bitness, that will simplify matters for you.

If the BEs only contain tables, there is no code ... so no conversion is needed

Thanks everyone. I'll stick with 32 bit.
