But, these calculations are generally done in a driver's head after a 14 or 15 hour shift and therefore generally unreliable.
Perhaps your example is proof of that. Does that not calculate to 12.5, not 13?
One thing that you might want to consider is that Google giveth and taketh away. I've read that they've created and killed some 200 products. Just know that you could lose access to any Google product at any time. It does seem like the most expedient and low cost solution though.

I have an Excel workbook on my phone.
In it I have the trips I have done for passengers as a community driver. I add entries as I get the jobs for the next day. I update the passenger mileage after the trip. The workbook works out how much the trip cost the passenger and of course totals.

At the end of the month, I print this off, and hand over that and the money from those trips?

I then clear it down for the next month

    Nice and simple.

@Trucker, I'll have my working example for you to see tomorrow. Looks like there's a couple solutions for you to choose from.

Don't know if it's pertinent for this app, but per diem is non-taxable income.

Hmm, I have always taken it as a daily rate, regardless as to how many hours you have worked.??

    Still taxable though?

"Your per diem will only become taxable if it exceeds the official rates established by the IRS or if you cannot provide proper documentation of per diem expenses for your employer."

@Trucker, as promised, please have a look at a solution I have for you.

Use this form to record your journeys. All you would need to do is pick your name from the "Driver Name" checkbox and fill in the shift start date & time, lunch start date & time, lunch end date & time, shift end date & time and journey (optional, I thought this might be quite nice to review your trip history to remind yourself where you drove your oil tanks to and from.)

Use this to view your journey history and see hours driven.

If you tell me the Driver Names I'll adjust the first question.

    Looking forward to your thoughts.
