Shift+F2 Zoom Box is always Plain Text in forms but supports Rich Text in Tables

I have a form with a text box set to display Rich Text with a text source that is Rich Text. I noticed that when I used the Shift+F2 Zoom Box the text is displayed as Plain Text.

If I go to the data table, and Shift+F2 on the cell, the text shows in the Zoom Box with expected Rich Text formatting.

Is there any way to get the Zoom Box on the form to display in Rich Text, or is this a quirk in Access?

Just tested and I don't get the same result. Text is red in table rtf field, shows up as red on form, shows in zoom box as red. I see no option in the font settings of the zoom box that allows you to choose plain text either. All I can think of at the moment is that your settings are correct but you haven't applied any rtf styles to your data?

I can't see any formatting - Bold and Italic are missing

We are using the same versions yet my form textbox value is red (no emphasis) the zoom is red, bold and italic, and the font formatting options are able to be chosen. Strange.

It works fine for me. For example:

It took me a while to figure out, but the issue seems to be that the form was set as a pop-up. If I turn off the pop-up setting, the Shift+F2 zoom function works as expected.

That's very strange but I can confirm your findings.
For info, the same effect occurs when opened in Dialog mode but doesn't occur with a modal form

I would say that's an Access bug and should be reported to MS.
Are you happy to do that e.g. using Access Feedback or User Voice ...or would you like me to do that on your behalf?

Feel free to let them know, you would probably have a better idea of how to get their attention.

OK. Will do so. Hopefully it will get fixed relatively quickly...if MS consider it important enough!
