    Subdatasheet Issue

    Hi Everyone,

I have a table linked to to 2 different tables. Both links are 1 to many. When I open table 1 and try to expand the sheet I get to choose the subdatasheet to insert. Then when I close it, its asks if I want to save the layout. Here's the problem, I accidentally saved subdatasheets layout. Now, I'm stuck with the same subdatasheet. Can this be fixed or changed back to allow the option to choose the subdatasheet?

    Thanks

Just remove the subdatasheet from the same menu as you'd use to add it?
I doubt there's many (maybe none) experienced users here who use this. For one thing, users should not be poking around in tables (only forms and reports) and if you abide by that principle, these are not needed.

Maybe you found another way to insert a sheet - I'm referring to the Home>Records>More submenu.

Thanks for the insight... Your 100% right no data entry in tables for the users. Im just setting up the db, I wasn't sure if that would affect anything once I started linking cbo boxes to autofill other boxes or combo box determining data in another combo box.... Thanks again

OK. Then you don't need them at all.

Just as a heads up - I did some work on a clients existing database where there where a lot of tables and the Subdatasheets where switched on virtually everywhere.
It was painfully slow in certain operations, and after a lot of fiddling around and trial and error, I removed the subdatasheets from all the tables, and it made a significant performance improvement.
