    Form Design

In form design view, how can I move and resize a field label separately from its bound field. When I click on either the label or the field, both move together and are resized together. Thanks.

Assuming controls are not in a layout group, click and hold the anchor box at upper left of control. Now move the control independently.

    Hi
In design View on your keyboard click Ctrl+A to select All Controls
You will notice in the Top Left Corner of the Form there is a small square with a Plus Sign in it.
    Click on the + Sign
Then on the Ribbon select "Arrange"
    Then select "Remove Layout"
Now you will be able to move each control independently.
You can PM me if you need further help.

I've already added each field+label independently in design view and arranged each each field+label as I want. The problem is that each label is attached to its field and I can't move the label independently from its field. In the attached screen shot, note how even though only the field is highlighted, both label and field have a little grey square in their corner, indicating that both will move together.

But as June said, Left Click on the small grey square in either the label or the Control, and keep the mouse depressed and drag to where you want.

Another option is to select just the label and cut (ctl-x). Click in the detail section or form header, then paste (ctl-V) and the label will be independent of the control.

To attach a label to a control, select the label,,cut (ctl-x) the label, then select the control, then paste (ctl-V) and the label will be attached to the control again.
