Auto Number Primary Key In new SQL Server Table

    Hello to all,

Just created my first table in SQL Server, after a bit of trial and error, I have it created and then also linked it back to my access database.
However with everything I have tried, compared it to other tables in SQL server to make sure the settings were the same, I cant seem to make the Primary Key field AutoNumber when it is in Access.

What am I missing or doing wrong?

Is this an access feature, do I need to change it to autonumber in access and then relink it back to SQL Server to make it work?

    Thanks for the help

In SQL Server, the equivalent field type is Identity, most often it is an int. You have to create an identity column 'from scratch' meaning that you can't modify a column to have those properties.

Have a look at one of your existing tables that has one in design view and expand the Identity Specification section:
